I'm often asked by friends, family, and even potential clients why they should book a boudoir session, or why do women decide to do a boudoir session. There's so many answers I could give to that question, but I'll go ahead and countdown the top 3 reasons I hear the most often from my clients.
Reason #3- To Celebrate a Milestone or Achievement
Whether it's a birthday, or reaching a career or health goal, many women choose to do a boudoir session to celebrate a special occasion or accomplishment in their lives. I've had a few clients come in after having a baby to celebrate their new postpartum bodies and women that want to celebrate a promotion or reaching a weight loss goal. 30th and 40th birthdays are also popular occasions. What ever your special occasion is, know that you're always welcome to celebrate here at Vivid Elegance!
Reason #2- As a Gift For a Significant Other
Christmas, Valentine's Day, anniversaries, and partner's birthdays are also popular reasons for women to book a boudoir photo shoot, along with upcoming weddings! A boudoir album is an unforgettable gift that is sure to leave your partner's jaw on the floor. The really special thing about boudoir photography is it's ability to capture you in the way your partner gets to see you, but often times, you never get to see this for yourself. So, when they receive a gift with all the things they love the most about you, they're sure to be over the moon! Couple's Boudoir sessions are also super popular on these special occasions.
Reason #1-For Yourself!
By far, the best and most important reason to do a boudoir photography session is for yourself! After all, no matter why you think you're booking a boudoir photo shoot, it always ends up being for you! A boudoir experience is something I believe every woman should experience at least once in her life. It's a chance to not only celebrate your beauty and who you are, but it's also an opportunity to explore parts of yourself that may yet to be discovered. A boudoir session should be about having fun and loving yourself completely. It's fun being a woman, and boudoir celebrates that on so many levels. As Cyndi Lauper said, "girls just wanna have fun", right?
As your photographer, I gear every session to give you the freedom and safety to explore and celebrate yourself in a judgement free environment. I want every single one of my clients to utilize their agency and have a positive, life-changing experience when they come to my studio. That's why I do this. I want to change lives, empower women, and create something for you to treasure for the rest of your life. It's always been about so much more that pretty pictures for me, and I know it's about so much more than that for you too.
